The Tasmanian Employer of Choice program recognises employers that are creating positive workplaces through best practice.

Employers that care about their people and build well-managed, inspiring workplaces have a competitive edge in attracting and retaining staff.

Employers of Choice demonstrate:

  1. a commitment to investing in staff wellbeing,
  2. support inclusive practices,
  3. promote a positive work life balance, and
  4. demonstrate best practice through their workplace policies and procedures.

2024 Recognition Program – Entries now open

The Employer of Choice Recognition Program recognises and promotes Tasmanian organisations that, regardless of their size, are creating supportive and productive workplaces.

Entries to the 2024 Employer of Choice Recognition Program are now open until 9 July 2024 at 11:59 pm.

Employer of Choice Assist

Employer of Choice Assist is a free service that gives tailored assistance to small businesses to help them build a positive workplace culture.

For businesses with 20 employees and below, the service will assist with:

  • attracting new employees
  • keeping great employees for longer
  • developing workforce policies and procedures
  • building a positive workplace culture
  • being recognised as an Employer of Choice

Employer of Choice Assist is delivered by the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Events

The Employer of Choice events program will be delivered around the state in 2024.

The events program will give organisations the opportunity to come together and learn about topics of interest and share best practice. Further details soon.
